iPhone and Android
Android will ask you to allow installs from your browser. That prompt is normal for an app outside the Play Store.
Notifications
Chime and dock reminder
Surfacing chime. Sounds just before a timed whale is likely to come up.
Dock reminder. Asks if you are still out when a trip is still running at the harbor.
Press and hold either alert to answer it without unlocking the phone.
What this app records
Location, during trips only
Your location is recorded only between Start Trip and End Trip. Nothing runs at any other time. End the trip before you leave the boat. If you forget, it keeps recording, including your drive home. Guests see your boat's position on a delay, rounded to about a kilometre; they never see exactly where you are. If you share boats with another operator, they see your boat's live position, what you are watching, and your sightings and messages while you are broadcasting. If your operator joins its region room, the operators in that room see your sightings and messages, never your boat's position.

Android is about to ask for your location. Choose Allow all the time so the track keeps recording with the phone in your pocket and the screen off.
If you pick While using the app, recording stops the moment the phone locks. On some phones the all-the-time option is on a second screen: tap Allow in settings and choose it there.
Photograph the fluke, or the back of your camera showing it. The best frame is the fluke fully up and clear of the water.
